Kuro Sushi is an interior build-out within Lakewood Ranch’s Main Street, utilizing two adjacent units to create an expansive sushi bar and an intimate dining area celebrating the craft behind Japanese cuisine. The sushi bar and main bar are incorporated into one element and nestled into the north wall, creating a focal point for the space. Wood panels and thoughtful lighting highlight the energy and activity playing out behind the bar.

The main dining space features accents of wood paneling, complemented with a monochromatic ceiling above. This ceiling is accomplished through the use of a custom boxed grid that creates a lower visual plane with the bottom edges of the boxes only to reveal more depth once you’re situated beneath them. The crafting of these elements and  the restrained color palette allows the food to take center stage while creating a unique environment for the guests.
